So I have to admit... when Brownie first freshened... I wasn't that impressed. Maybe it was that she was harder to get on the milk stand... maybe it was that her teat had this funny bump that finally went away 4 months into the lactation. As I look back at her photos, she looks pretty good, and I wonder why didn't I see it?
Now, she is one of my favorites. I love how easy she is to milk, she knows her job now and jumps up on the milk stand with ease. She is smaller than her sister and puts more pounds of milk in the pail (especially when corrected for her body size). I just love how her barrel has deepened as she matured this year. We are super excited to see how she continues to develop in the coming year.
